How we clean it
Our roof cleaning has three parts: prep, treatment, and rinsing.
We start by wetting the landscaping with water. We also manage runoff from the downspouts by redirecting it, bagging it, or attaching a hose to collect it.
Next, we apply a phosphate-free detergent and algaecide with a thickener that helps it cling to the roof and break down the algae.
Finally, we thoroughly rinse the landscaping again to dilute any overspray.
What you’ll see afterward
The black streaks typically disappear during treatment, and the roof can look even better after the next few rainfalls.
