I was driving down State Route 200 when I saw a group of protesters dumping fake blood across the sidewalk in front of the new Raising Cane's during their grand opening. I turned around on a busy street to see if I could help.
By the time I got turned around and pulled in, the police were already on the scene and the protesters had already run off.

Getting it out of the concrete
Red dye and concrete are a bad mix. Concrete is porous, and the longer a stain sits, the deeper it soaks in. Raising Cane's had just started its grand opening, and we did not want to let a group of protesters take away from their big day, so we cleaned it up free of charge.
We worked the stain with our surface cleaner, which cleans concrete evenly without leaving lines or streaks, and kept rinsing until the concrete was back to its natural color.

Back to business
By the time we packed up, there was no sign of red dye left in front of Raising Cane's. It was just a clean sidewalk ready for customers.

That's part of being a local business. When something like this happens in our community, we'd rather pitch in than drive past.
